Amenities at Spruce Point

Spruce Point's landscaped walkways and courtyard offer a relaxed home-like environment. We provide a choice of spacious residential style one-bedroom and studio apartments, each complete with kitchenette, private bath and individual heating and air conditioning control. In addition, each apartment has its own emergency call system and all the comforts of home. We encourage residents to personalize their apartments with favorite, treasured belongings.  Click here for our floor plans.

Now open - a new state-of-the-art Alzheimer's care unit. This 25-room addition provides services for residents suffering from Alzheimer's disease or similar dementia or mental impairments.

Activities

Spruce Point residents enjoy a wealth of planned activities and opportunities for socializing as they would in their own home. Family and friends are always welcome.

In-house activities include daily exercise, entertainment, bingo, movies, crafts, chapel, games, book readings and much more.  Click here for our sample activity calendar.

Spruce Point offers scheduled transportation to outings, appointments, errands and shopping, making it easy to get out and about, especially for those who don't drive. Scheduled transportation is provided free of charge with our luxurious shuttle bus. Examples of field trip excursions include:

  • Visits to Sweet Creek tomato farm
  • Picnics at local parks
  • Trips to the beach
  • Bus rides around the lake
  • Shopping
  • Visits to the Newport Aquarium
  • Monthly "out to lunch" bunch

Family and friends are also welcome to reserve our activity room for private events, such as birthdays or special occasions.

Dining

Delicious, nutritious meals are prepared by a professional chef with the preferences and diets of our residents in mind. Meals are served restaurant-style, with every meal offering a choice of two entrees, plus delicious side dishes. A sample dinner and dessert menu would be:

Sugar-Free Desserts available upon request As always, special nutrition and dietary needs are accommodated. In addition, snacks, coffee, and tea are available in between meals, or residents may fix snacks in their apartment kitchenettes. Friendly Spruce Point staff can escort residents to the dining room or, for a minimal charge, deliver a tray directly to their room if desired.
